Ethereal pop, ambient and jazz school – Italian musician Daniela Pes plays with different genres and words on her debut album Spira, as she sings in her own language created from fragments of Italian and the Gallurian dialect. The singer-songwriter, whose dreamy melodies and experimental approach are reminiscent of Lucrecia Dalt or Marina Herlop, will perform in Prague for the first time on 3 December at the cubist gem Bethlehem Chapel in Žižkov.

Daniela Pes released her first long-playing solo album last year. The album Spira alternates elements of dark electronica and cosmic ambient, which organically merge together. The Italian composer seamlessly transitions between futuristic and archaic elements, held together by her melodic and layered voice. The rhythm work and the distinctly shifting intensity on Spira’s recording takes on an almost ritualistic dimension that comes to the fore during live performances. Daniela Pes has performed at prestigious international festivals such as Time in Jazz and the Harp Festival in Rio de Janeiro. She has also won several awards for her work to date, including the 2017 Andrea Parodi Award and an award at the Musicultura Festival.

A unique evening will open with a new talent on the Czech electronic scene – LilaTesla flirts with post-club sound as well as melancholic ambient north and light-bending noise. She will take us through glitch-deconstructed landscapes flooded with atmospheric autotune.
