The first pre-festival warm-up with exclusive guests will take place on May 24 in Prague’s Bike Jesus!

In collaboration with the Heartnoize collective, Transforma Festival brings you the Czech premiere of the phenomenal American post-punk band YHWH Nailgun, supported by the progressive Czech Market and the American magician Vein Data. Hekaté, Shurigen, Olga Zhaldak & takaDumm will take care of the precise listening and dancing selection in front of the club in the early evening and in the club after the concerts.

YHWH Nailgun
A writhing singer, precise drums, aggressive synths and wailing electric guitar. The Brooklyn-based band formed by Zack Borzone (vocals), Jack Tobias (synths), Sam Pickard (drums) and Saguiv Rosenstock (guitar) shows an innate ability to translate a primitive spirit into modern form.

Originating during the covid lockdown as an experimental project between Borzone and Pickard in Philadelphia, the group expanded as the two moved to New York City, adding Tobias for their self-titled debut EP, produced by Rosenstock, later integrated into the band.

Early work is about self-discovery, finding the tools needed to create songs within the band’s ecosystem. They thus refined their own world and collaborative writing process, discovering the essential structures and feelings that make up YHWH Nailgun. Since then, the band has toured with London’s Black Midi and the American Geese, released another EP, and the latest notch in their catalogue is a single from the end of last year, Tear Pusher.
