A bit of jazz improvisation, but also modular synths and New York hardcore. The six-member collective Nu Jazz will head to Prague’s Puncto on 23 May. The group, made up of musicians who have performed in bands such as Deli Girls (Dan Orlowski) and Murderpact, will present themselves to European audiences for the first time on this tour.

Twisted jazz that far transcends the band’s genre boundaries combines the immediate energy of improvisation with sophisticated sonic synthesis. Explosive live performances combine the punk ferocity and musicality that each musician brings from years of experience in New York’s musical underground.
Their debut album Vol. I presents ingenious electronic soundscapes, otherworldly vocal textures, and a rawness that is present in every note.
